MENGENECIOGLU
He was born in Erzurum in 1950 and he started mountaineering in
the same region in 1970. He has a degree in Archaeology and Arts History.
He has been a member of the Turkish Mountaineering Federation as trainer
and manager.
In 1980 he was assigned as a Mountain Guide
for all the mountains of Turkey. He guided expedition groups on many of
the mountains,mainly Mt.Ararat and Kackar Mountains. He participated in
the Noah's Ark searching organization by American Groups between 1982
and 1992.He guided German ZDF Television Team on Mt Ararat for the documentary
film"Das Ararat"
He was the president of Turkish Mountaineering
Federation between 1995 and 1997. During thia time he worked for the popularity
of the mountaineering, increasing the level of education and activating
the national and international sporting activities. He mainly targeted
advertising of Turkey's Mountains and Mountaineering in Turkey.
He is still continuing mountain expeditions
as a profesional mountaineer and mountain guide.
